while I’m busy with NaNoWriMo, my friend has been putting together a book trailer for her Historic Romance Novel. I love the photos and after seeing this I want to go back and read it again – maybe after the insanity of NaNo is done.
The first day of NaNoWriMo is half-way done and I’ve written nothing, nada, zilch, zip, zero. Not from lack of desire or ideas, but from lack of time. Get up, make lunches for the kids (I have 4 of them – 5 years to 10 years), make breakfast, get them all ready and off to school. Then I head into school myself, where I’m a school nurse.
I optimistically brought along my, very brief, outline and a notebook (full of blank pages). I haven’t had much time to fill all those lovely pages. Instead, I’m doing paper work, attending meetings, preparing for the DOH to visit and seeing students. It’s my job, normally it doesn’t bother me not to be able to write while I’m here.
But, this is NaNo! I feel an immense pressure to get writing. I know I can pound out a good 2000 words once the kids are in bed tonight. I still feel like I’m falling behind. Keeping my fingers crossed I’ll have a quiet lunch and can fit in a few hundred, hand written, words then.
